Does statistics or any science throw reasons on why the following happens to us?
- In a set of queues to a counter, the queue next to you appears to move faster
- The deviation that you take on a highway finally leads to a traffic jam
- You never get seated next to pretty women in flight, cinemas, trains or even bus stops
- Your train or flight usually gets delayed
- You are caught by the traffic police driving without copies of your documents
The list is endless. We need no statistics or science to answer this. We just ignore the number of times we get lucky and highlight the occasions where we are not so lucky. The ‘we’ here does constitute a majority in this world.
Philosophical uh?
